Frequently Asked Questions

  • Events can be booked in different hourly increments (or a weekend buyout package), with set up starting as early as 8 AM. All events must be finalized (vendors struck) by 11:00 PM day-of rental, to ensure compliance with City of Lake Wales noise ordinances.

  • We recommend specific vendors we love to work with to ensure a smooth event day. That said, here at Gather we are happy to meet new industry friends and collaborate with vendors our couples work with.

  • Bounce houses, inflatables, and unauthorized signage are not allowed in our venue. Tents are only allowed in the case of a pre- approved contingency plan.

  • Gather does not provide event insurance.

  • No. The venue is no longer affiliated with the Catholic Church, and there is no religious requirement to host an event here. While the building was originally a Catholic church, it now operates as a gorgreous independent event center.

    Anyone can book the space for weddings, receptions, celebrations, meetings, and other events regardless of religious affiliation. Couples are welcome to have religious or non-religious ceremonies and may bring their own officiant and vendors in accordance with venue policies.

  • Load-in / Load-out windows are dependent on the rental start time and are included in your rental time-frame.

  • Yes, there is free parking on site.

  • Gather by LWAC follows the City of Lake Wales Noise ordinance, with all excessive noise ending by 10 PM.

  • If requested by the renter, LWAC has a rain contingency plan for all events engaging the outdoor patio, with a non-refundable retainer cost of $2,500.
